Subtitling

Subtitling is the most cost-effective solution for internationalizing multimedia content. It is faster to implement, more economically advantageous, and and efficient way to transmit content. Additionally, the target audience is often used to this kind of communication through TV and Cinema where the original version is often subtitled.

Voice Over

The voice over technique consists of superimposing a new audio track onto the original sound track and not just simply adding the actors voices in the desired languages.  The original soundtrack stays in the background. It is a technique mainly used for interviews and aims to ensure the authenticity of the speaker's speech.

Dubbing

Audio dubbing is the most elaborate form of localization of multimedia content. It consists of replacing all the dialogues in the original soundtrack with dialogues recorded in the target language.  Voices are chosen according to the personalities of the speakers and client preferences. It also requires the dialogue to be synchronized so that the viewer has the impression that the speakers speak in the target language.
